Mission Statement
Fine-tuning the human-machine interface for the task at hand is the definition of ergonomics. WHEN ADMINISTERED CORRECTLY, PersonaGrip's ergonomic tool grip process accomplishes this goal for the industrial athlete which can result in major health benefits for workers on assembly lines. PersonaGrip Ergonomics is an involved, multi-faceted process. The moldable thermoplastic material applied on tools is but one minor aspect of this technology. EMG research has shown that PersonaGrip can reduce grip force significantly for the compliant worker who is trained to use it properly. Other well-documented research has shown that a five-to-ten times reduction in risk for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome can result if one risk factor is removed for a worker previously exposed to both of these risk factors: High Repetition & High Grip Force. Since Profits get Compromised when the High Repetition Risk Factor is Removed, Engineer, Inventor, & Pioneer Ed Dellis, the inventor of PersonaGrip Ergonomics, pioneered the use of moldable handgrip technology in the industrial workplace in the '80's and '90s. History has shown that it represents the new paradigm WHEN ADMINISTERED CORRECTLY. However, well-intentioned novices often create designs that are less-than-optimal for a given task. General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Dodge Trucks, Toyota USA/Canada/Japan, Delphi Energy & Engineering, Kenworth Trucks, Libby Owens Ford, Illmore Engineering, Rockwell Industries, Harley Davidson are a few companies in the automotive industry who have invested in the PersonaGrip Ergonomics Tool Grip technology, and have learned how to use it correctly under Dellis' training. Directory of Trained Professionals -- Coming Soon Later this year, IndustrialErgonomics.com is launching a directory of Master Certified Technicians -- and other industry professionals -- who are trained in moldable handgrip technology by mechanical engineer, Ed Dellis. This directory will help locate professionals who are experienced in providing designs that can help workers reduce their risk for carpal tunnel syndrome and other CTDs/RSIs through reduced grip effort and proper ergonomics. Further Proof of Concept Industrial athletes aren't the only professional athletes benefiting from Dellis' ergonomic technology. PersonaGrip has also been used very successfully in competition by Gold-Medal-Winning Olympic atheletes, and driving champions in IndyCar, Formula One (cars and boats), NASCAR, ALMS, Trans-Am, and the Unlimited Hydroplanes....all using PersonaGrip Ergonomics administered by Dellis himself. Simple Physics http://www.cdc.gov/niosh/pdfs/95-114.pdf p. 36 in the document above endorses the leveraging principles that are the basis for proper ergonomic handgrip designs incorporating moldable handgrip materials using Dellis' design theories.
